I got a pair of JBL speakers cheap - they're highly rated for guitar amps, and used ones go for about $200 each. One of these is blown, and the other has a voice coil rubbing, so they will need to be reconed. I've never done that before.

Here's the rub on the one speaker.
I was able to get the recone kits from Simply Speakers for $69 each. Nice.
The kits come with the cone, voice coil, spider, gaskets, dust cap and glues needed. Following the You-Tube video, the repairs went a lot better than I expected, no hitches other than sticking my knife blade to the magnet a couple times. Here the voice coil is being shimmed.
Cones glued in now.
And the dust cap finishes the job. One speaker was originally 16 ohms, but I put in 8 ohm coils, as that's what the amp needs.
