Today's project, resurrect a Soviet MN-61 wire recorder. It's dead, no power at all. The schematics in the manuals are for the airborne version, so I'll have to do some googling.

Well that was an easy repair! The fuse holder has three positions you can install the cap, probably for line voltage selection. Only the 220 was wired in this case, so I just rotated the arrow to the terminal that was used inside.
The stainless steel recording wire is about as thick as a hair. Breaks are repaired with a square knot.
